About Swati

Hi everyone:

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I am a 43-year-old recently-remarried mom who spent 8 years as a single mom. I have a charming, inquisitive, ten-year-old daughter who keeps me on my toes.  We have recently acquired a parakeet and we live in Chicago.  I have been a single mom since 2003, post-divorce.   I worked in corporate America for twenty years, but I left my job on January 23rd, 2009 to pursue a dream I’ve had for ten years: to write a book!   The book shares real life stories from single moms with all sorts of backgrounds, all over the US.  I am in the process of completing my book as I have found a wonderful publisher, Treasureline Publishing – and I am so thankful to be living my dream.   All moms, dads, and those with opinions and commentary are welcome to join in our conversations!

  • I sent a note to you on facebook. Loved this site and your positive attitude. I am also really thrilled to see a smart happy single mom — really going for it. You Go Girl! How gutsy. I have thoughts of my own book after two foreign adoptions as a single mom. Really love my life (tough thought it is) most all the time. Nice to see that you do too. Best to you. You have inspired me to write more on my blog and get crackin’ on my book.
    +1

  • Your blog is super I will have to read it all, thank you for the diversion from my studies!

  • Hi Swati,

I’m so glad to have found your blog. I’m a divorced and re-married non-custodial mother. I wrote a book about the wheels coming off my marriage in a major way and how I pulled myself back together and found a new path in life. Do you review ebooks? My book (currently an ebook on Amazon, soon to be available as a physical book too) is not only uplifting, but I think it might give hope to others who go through some very dark and trying times like I did.

    All the best,
    Sophia

    Hi Swati,

You recently worked with DRIACover for their nursing cover and did a great review for them and I just wanted to see if you would be interested in doing a review/giveaway for some As Seen on TV Products that we feature on our site, http://www.tvtopten.com. Please let me know! Thanks.

    Hello,

I am the content director at datingsite.org, where I post all kinds of information regarding online dating advice and reviews. For the past few months I’ve been collecting various resources on dating with children, and I’ve just posted my list of the Top 100 Dating with Children Blog that I encourage my readers to visit. Your site has been included, since I always find your articles to be very informative and useful. You can check out the full list at http://www.datingsite.org/blog/2011/dating-with-children-blogs-top-100/ and please don’t forget to tell your readers about it ;)

We also feel that articles should be informational rather than instructive. Please let me know if you are interested in a completely original guest post from one of our eager writers and/or a blogroll exchange.

    Regards,

I’m hoping you can assist me. I have tried and tried and still can’t figure out how to get the Blogroll on the blog itself. It only shows up after I pull up my dashboard. I’d like others to be able to see who I’m following. And I checked the public instead of privately following box.

i Shawnee – I always email my virtual IT person, Kevin, at wrightpcconsulting.com for help! I have to admit to not having a knack for this. The items in my blogroll are added from the LINKS on the left hand side when you are in your dashboard (or nay page inside of your blog as the administrator) option and then in “categories” I select “blog roll” – you have to put in the name, description and link.

    Does that help?
