Moms Walkin’ the Talk

Posted by Swati on May 19, 2010 in Articles |

Hi everyone:

I’m just taking a moment today to recognize and admire three single moms and one married mom.  Each juggles her respective litter of kids, her job, her household, and each has made time to invest in her own growth through education.

I am always impressed, energized, and motivated by stories about moms who show their kids, through their own actions, what’s important in life!

Enjoy this short article in USA Today from one of my readers (thanks Anna :-)) about moms who are all walking the talk on the importance of education and believing in yourself. Cheers to all of you (and the others out there doing the same).

Have a terrific day – Swati

    Great Stories Swati

Thanks for sharing…..I chuckled at the one where the mom said my kids are more likely to do their homework when they see me doing mine!

My kids go on the ‘computer’ and say they are ‘working like mom’…ha ha!

  • Thanks for sharing these, Swati – fyi, I talk about you in my post today – cause you know I love you!

Jody: That is so cute! My daughter used to put on my pumps and go click-clack all over the floor, telling me she was in a hurry!

So many of those resonate with me. My daughter says, “Why can’t you just find someone you want to marry off the Internet?” It seems like such an easy thing to her. I also love your food rules. My daughter and I believe that, if you eat standing up, it doesn’t count. Plus, if it has fruit anywhere in it, no calories whatsoever!
I’m posting a link to your blog on mine–I’ll be back.
